Recreate Life Counseling Services
There are many essential therapeutic services offered by Recreate Life Counseling, including (but not limited to):
Group therapy sessions will be facilitated by a licensed therapist and will focus on the causes of addiction, the obstacles that early recovery is likely to present, and the development of relapse prevention skills.
Individual therapy will allow residents to work with a licensed therapist in a one-on-one setting, tackling unique issues, working through potentially traumatic events that occurred in the past, and allowing for a more intimate conversation focused exclusively on your own unique experiences with addiction recovery.
Holistic therapy includes alternative treatment methods (non-therapeutic) which have extremely well-documented success rates. Some methods of holistic treatment include yoga, mediation, art therapy, massage therapy, and chiropractic care. Recreate Life Counseling also offers nutritional guidance to all residents.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on changing detrimental thought patterns, and in turn reversing self-destructive behaviors. CBT is proven and effective in helping those struggling with substance abuse, as well as those struggling with co-occurring disorders like anxiety, eating disorders, bipolar disorder and depression.
The vast majority of alcoholics and addicts simultaneously suffer from unresolved trauma. Licensed trauma therapists will help residents work through painful past experiences, setting them up for long-term success in recovery.
- Gender-Specific Group Counseling
Gender-specific group therapy has been proven to be extremely beneficial, seeing as many underlying issues that addicts and alcoholics suffer from relate to members of the opposite sex. For example, women who have undergone trauma at the hands of a man will benefit more from female-specific treatment and vice versa.
- An Introduction to the 12 Step Method of Recovery
Recreate Life Counseling puts a strong emphasis on Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and other 12 step programs. The incorporation of daily attendance at a 12 step meeting reduces the risk of relapse significantly and is always part of a comprehensive and effective aftercare program.
The majority of relapses occur within the first year of addiction recovery. Recreate Life Counseling works to instill life skills and coping mechanisms that are essential to successfully maintaining sobriety for years to come.
